By Elna Seabrooks Staff Writer Mary Beth Foley ORIENT — Expressions of skepticism, sarcastic laughter and charges of pettiness confronted Mary Beth Foley, chairman of Orient’s selectmen’s board during a special selectmen’s meeting called for last Wednesday. The notice of the meeting had been posted three days earlier on Sunday at the town office. Foley, also town manager for Ludlow, has been under fire there and suspended without pay since mid-February during a state audit of that town’s finances. |

Hodgdon unveils honor parts |

HODGDON — Clark Rafford, principal of Hodgdon High School, has announced the honor parts for the Class of 2010. Wesley Heinrichs Valedictorian Valedictorian is Wesley Heinrichs, son of Glen and the late Lori Heinrichs of Hodgdon. He is the Principal’s Award honor student and is a National Merit finalist. Wesley has been a four-year member of the high school chorus, a member of the JV basketball team and a community volunteer. Wesley is attending Boston University in the fall, majoring in cellular and molecular biology. |
