Houlton, Border League continue diamond pursuits |

The 9-10 Little League All-star Tournament started last Saturday at the new Little League fields adjacent to the Houlton Elementary and Southside schools. The Houlton and Border League all-stars now have to fight back from the losers’ bracket in the double elimination tournament. |

Houlton High School has a new pre-participation physical evaluation form for student-athletes that allows for a physical every other year. The evaluation would be more extensive than the past required sports physicals. |

Kathy Mazzuchelli, Northern District Coordinator for the Hershey Youth Track and Field Program, announced that nearly 100 area athletes will be traveling to Bangor July 6 to participate in the Hershey Youth Track and Field Program State Finals. More than 230 boys and girls from 13 towns converged on the Caribou High School Track to vie for the chance to travel to the State Finals of this national program. |

ATV ride for ladies only
The Aroostook Riders ATV Club will hold a Powder Puff Ride (ladies only) on Friday, July 9.
The first starting point of the ride will be at 10 a.m. from 296 McIntyre Rd, Houlton, with the second starting point behind DOC’s on North Road at 11a.m. |
